As of today, I have only 2 weekdays left of my 3 week summer vacation from Purdue. I am torn between excitement and dread this semester. I have a perfect 4.0 in all my core classes and this semester is going to be one of the toughest, yet. Not only do I have to perform, but one class will be a semester long group project. I’ll have to rely on others to pull their weight. That is frustrating, because students rarely show the work ethic of a paid co-worker.
The shining light in all this gloom is I am taking a photography class. I am excited about what I can learn there, because I love to take pictures. I just can’t afford the hobby. Any tips I can get to better exploit my current gear will be awesome.
I failed my first go at college right after high school, so this is my 2nd run. Now I have just finished my 2nd year of classes and I am starting on my 3rd year classes. I call them years instead of “junior” year, because my education is so fragmented from my earlier attempt at college and the classes I already have that are transferring. After this school year, I will really only have 4 classes left. But, do to some classes being prerequisites for the others, I will need to spread them out at 2 per semester. While I have been avoiding work while I am in school, I think this last year I will try to work while taking classes. I’ll probably be broke by then anyway.
So potential employers, I’m officially on the market in August 2012. <sarcasm>Don’t worry about paying me benefits the world is supposed to end before they will kick in anyway…</sarcasm>
